Have you heard about Jennifer Garner’s 50th birthday, which you won’t read about in the On The JLo newsletter? The Alias star added that, in addition to a savagely sweet visit from her childhood hero, Donny Osmond, she celebrated the milestone with a lavish party befitting a wedding.
According to a Town & Country profile, “I essentially had a wedding for myself.” I couldn’t believe I was doing it. The April event was originally intended to be a family gathering with Jennifer’s parents, siblings, and nephews traveling, but things soon “snowballed” from there.
In keeping with Jennifer Garner’s style, the celebrations had a charitable spin. Before dancing to the Osborne Brothers’ song Rocky Top, attendees were required to fill “5000 bags, each with enough food to feed a family of four for a charity called Blessings in a Backpack.”
She told the publication, “I put everyone to work.” Jennifer admitted to Extra that she was looking forward to the celebration of her 50th birthday, saying, “I don’t know what we’ll do, but I can’t wait.” One gift arrived a little early when Donny Osmond surprised Jennifer at a restaurant with cake in hand to wish her a very overwhelmed Jennifer happy birthday in person. “My first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy – the one and only, legend in his own time, and object of my childhood adoration and devotion @donnyosmond walked up to knock my purple socks off,” she said with the charming video.
The day after her ex-husband Ben Affleck re-proposed to Jennifer Lopez, with whom he had previously been engaged for over 20 years, Jennifer celebrated her birthday. The couple then honored their love with two weddings, both of which were attended by Ben and his three children from his previous relationships with Jennifer Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Sam, 10.
Ben and Jennifer Garner’s wedding in 2005 was a very low-key event. Except for co-star of the television series Alias Victor Garber, who performed the marriage ceremony, the pair exchanged vows alone on the beach. When asked if she ever plans to be married again, Jen responded that the thought of doing so isn’t at the top of her list of priorities. “I’m not sure. I’m so far away. And I’m not sure if marriage would have to play a role. In 2021, she said to People, “I mean, I don’t imagine that I’ll stay alone forever. But now is not the right moment. I’m OK; I don’t need to complicate things.
However, Jennifer and John Miller continue to be the subject of persistent engagement rumors, particularly after she was sighted last month with a diamond ring.
