Country music star Jason Aldean experienced a health scare during his concert in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday when he suffered from heat exhaustion. In a video captured by a fan, Aldean is seen rushing off stage at the Xfinity Theatre after appearing visibly uncomfortable and struggling to perform due to the overheating.
Aldean, known for his signature jeans, t-shirt, cowboy boots, and hat, had been on stage for over an hour during the CT leg of his Jason Aldean: Highway Desperado Tour when the incident occurred. As a result, the concert had to be cut short, and the Xfinity Theatre took to social media to inform fans about the situation.
“Jason has become ill and can’t continue the show. We are in the process of attempting to reschedule the performance,” the official Instagram account for the theater stated. They also expressed their appreciation for fans’ patience and well wishes, assuring them that the show would be rescheduled for a future date.
Following the concert, it was confirmed that Aldean was recovering well after experiencing heat stroke during the performance. A representative for the singer shared the update and urged fans to stay tuned for further updates on a new concert date.
In response to the concern from fans, Aldean took to his Instagram Stories to provide his account of what happened and provide an update on his health. He explained that the combination of playing golf all day and the intense heat led to dehydration and heat exhaustion.
While Aldean acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, he mentioned that the label of “heat stroke” might have been a bit extreme. Nevertheless, he expressed how intense the experience was and emphasized the extreme heat at the show. He made it a priority to get off stage and seek medical attention.
