Bishop T.D. Jakes in Stable Condition After Medical Incident During Sermon

Bishop T.D. Jakes, the revered pastor and founder of The Potter’s House of Dallas, is in stable condition after experiencing a medical emergency during a sermon on Sunday. The megachurch confirmed the incident in a statement, assuring the congregation and well-wishers that the 66-year-old leader received immediate medical attention and is now under professional care.

During the service, video footage captured a concerning moment when Bishop Jakes appeared visibly unwell, lowering his microphone and showing signs of distress while seated. Members of his team quickly intervened, offering assistance as the congregation looked on.

The church clarified that Jakes experienced what it described as a “slight health incident” following an inspiring, hour-long sermon.

“Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals,” the statement read. “The entire Potter’s House family is deeply grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community.”

Bishop Jakes, a globally recognized spiritual leader, philanthropist, and author, established The Potter’s House in 1996. Since then, the southern Dallas megachurch has grown into a 30,000-member congregation and a beacon of faith and community service under his guidance.
