Many fans anticipate Johnny Gargano to return to WWE shortly in light of the hiring of Triple H as head of creative and the appearance of former NXT performers like Dakota Kai and Karrion Kross.
The former NXT Champion was supposed to return to the organization, according to Fightful Select. After the management change, Shawn Michaels was in charge of getting in touch with Johnny Gargano.

The Heartbreak Kid was given the responsibility of getting in touch with the former NXT North American Champion, according to Fightful, who added that they haven’t been told any specifics or how the negotiations went.
I Hope Johnny Gargano Comes Back To WWE Soon

Gargano quit WWE after his contract with them terminated on December 10 of the previous year.

Along with his wife Candice LeRae, Johnny Gargano teases a comeback to wrestling.

Over a year has passed since Johnny Gargano last appeared in a wrestling arena. Since losing the “NXT” Women’s Tag Team Championships, his wife Candice LaRae has not been participating in any matches. Some wrestlers may be thinking about returning to WWE now that Triple H is in charge of the creative department on the main roster. He is taking time off to be with his wife Rae while she cares for their new baby, who was born in February. When Hartwell was still in “NXT,” Theory was Mr. Money in the Bank, but now he is on the main roster in place of Hartwell.

After the birth of their son Quill, the ex-power couple of NXT both decided to stop competing in wrestling.
When asked if he saw how Triple H was handling WWE and bringing back past talent, Gargano recently hinted that he and his wife Candice LeRae would return to the ring at the Asylum Virtual Signing event:

“I observed. I’ve seen it. All around, the times are exhilarating. You can never predict what might occur. Keep an eye out because Candice and I will eventually appear, wherever that may be. I swear. We shall. I’ll assure you that in the future, we’ll perform some magic.”
