Story
Two unlikely creatures rule supreme in the enchanted Valley, where the sun kisses the treetops and rivers whisper old secrets: Pookoo, a small but sly woodland creature with a huge heart, and Auri, a majestic bird that soars high in the skies and is both feared and revered by all. Though their innate tendencies would have them as lifelong foes, destiny has other ideas.
After a mysterious celestial event, Pookoo and Auri magically switch places one fateful day. Pookoo gains wings, and Auri experiences feeling the ground beneath her talons for the first time. Confused and bewildered, they must navigate this strange new reality together, learning the strengths and weaknesses of each other’s worlds.
They travel through some of the most beautiful scenery on their journey, including the deep, dark forests where the shadows come to life and the majestic mountains of the North. They meet a variety of colorful and eccentric characters along the way, including Grumble, an ill-tempered old tortoise who knows more than he lets on, Flora, a wise and kind deer who leads them with her understanding of the old magic that rules the Valley, and Blip, an exuberant firefly with a penchant for mischief.
Pookoo and Auri discover an impending threat to their cherished Valley as they battle to adjust to their new forms. Once exiled to the lowest reaches of the forest, a malevolent entity known as the Shadow King is resurfacing with the intention of engulfing the entire planet in darkness. Pookoo and Auri need to develop mutual trust and use their newfound identities to their advantage if they are to save the Valley.
Plot Summary
