Story
“Feeling Randy” is a film about a group of high school friends who go on a life-changing road trip against the colorful backdrop of 1970s California. Randy (Reid Miller), an adolescent juggling his own developing sexuality and family strife, is the main character of the movie. Randy sets out on a quest with his closest friends to uncover the truth about himself, confronted with questions about his identity and strained familial ties.
The friends meet a variety of vibrant people and go on absurd adventures that broaden their perspectives and deepen their bond as they travel through neon-lit cities, dive bars, and disco clubs. Their journey of self-acceptance and self-discovery turns into a road trip complete with deep conversations under the stars and run-ins with quirky locals.

It does this by fusing the nostalgic charm of “American Graffiti” with the emotional depth of Pedro Almodóvar’s storytelling. The film, which is based on a true story, perfectly conveys the spirit of the time as well as the universal search for identity and belonging.
