The Chicks, the beloved country group known for hits like “Goodbye Earl,” have made the difficult decision to reschedule three of their concerts in North Carolina and Tennessee due to illness. The band took to social media to apologize to their fans for the inconvenience and assure them that their priority is to put on a show that the fans deserve.

The affected concerts include the Nashville date at Bridgestone Arena, originally scheduled for Thursday, and the Knoxville and Greensboro concerts, which were set for July 29 at Thompson-Boling Arena and July 30 at Greensboro Coliseum Complex, respectively. All three shows were postponed this week.

However, The Chicks have quickly rescheduled the performances, and fans can look forward to seeing them in Greensboro on August 8, Knoxville on September 21, and Nashville on September 23. The band has made it clear that all original tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows, ensuring that fans will still get the chance to enjoy their music live.

The group has been on tour since this summer, kicking off with a European leg in June and early July before embarking on their North American leg on July 21 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After taking the necessary time off during the now-postponed dates, The Chicks plan to resume their tour on August 2 in Columbia, Maryland.

Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer, the talented members of The Chicks, expressed their excitement about the tour earlier this year when they announced it in February. They thanked their fans for making the previous summer so enjoyable and looked forward to bringing their show to new cities across the U.S. and Canada. Their enthusiasm extended to their fans in the U.K. and Europe, whom they couldn’t wait to see and perform for again.

The Chicks are well-known for their infectious energy and camaraderie on stage. Ahead of the 2022 tour, they shared their excitement about having fun with both the fans and each other. Their friendship and natural chemistry shine through in their performances, making every show a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

As the band takes the time to recover and get back on their feet, fans can rest assured that they will be treated to fantastic performances when The Chicks return to the stage for their rescheduled concerts. With their unwavering commitment to their fans and their love for what they do, The Chicks are sure to continue spreading joy through their music and performances for years to come.
