Australian police on Wednesday captured four men in connection with the alleged kidnap and assault of MacGill. Media detailed that MacGill was stood up to by a man on a road in Sydney’s north before two different men showed up and helped constrain him into a vehicle. “Around 8 pm on Wednesday 14 April 2021, a 50-year-elderly person was allegedly faced by a 46-year-elderly person (in) Cremorne,” New South Wales Police said in a statement that didn’t distinguish the victim.

“A brief timeframe later the pair were drawn closer by two different men, constraining the older man into a vehicle. “He was then headed to a property at Bringelly, where the two men, in addition to another obscure man, allegedly assaulted the 50-year-elderly person and threatened him with a firearm. About an hour later, the man was headed to the Belmore region and released.” Police said the episode had been accounted for on April 20, provoking an investigation by the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad.

MacGill, a former leg-spin bowler, took 208 wickets in 44 Test matches for Australia somewhere in the range of 1998 and 2008. His global vocation was to a great extent eclipsed by individual Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne, who is second on the list ever driving wicket-takers in Test cricket.
