At Miami’s Gekk, the power couple and the Inter Miami CF player had a fun night out with friends.
This is definitely how a weekend should start.

On Thursday, newly-promoted Inter Miami CF star Lionel Messi joined David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham for dinner at Miami’s Gekk. David Grutman, a restaurateur, and Bad Bunny share ownership of the hotspot.

Victoria shared pictures from the event on Instagram on Friday, including a group photo with the Beckhams, Messi, David, and Isabela Grutman, as well as Inter Miami teammates Sergio Busquets and Elena Galera and Jorge Mas and his wife Aleyda Mas.

In a different Instagram photo, Messi, Busquets, and Victoria’s spouse were all smiling and looking directly at the camera.

Late on Thursday night, the star-studded party was spotted dining together and leaving at the same time as they were met by patrons and paparazzi outside the restaurant.

Gekk (Japanese for “moonlight”) was founded by Bad Bunny and Grutman in the summer of 2022 and is situated in Miami’s Brickell neighbourhood. The Japanese steakhouse features a sushi bar in the shape of a U, velvet-draped booths and artwork, including a dragon mural that looks out over the dining area.

Gekkō’s menu combines aspects of a traditional steakhouse with Japanese cuisine—including raw offerings of sushi and sashimi. One of the menu’s highlights is Bad Bunny’s favorite lobster fried rice along with olive-fed filet mignon and chilled oysters with watermelon granita.

Bad Bunny, who hails from Puerto Rico, said he chose to launch his first restaurant in Miami because  “the culture reminds me of home.”

In addition to Messi and the Beckhams, Eva Longoria, Kaia Gerber, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, J Balvin, Lil Wayne, Derek Jeter, Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Kim Kardashian, and Tristan Thompson have all been photographed at the restaurant in the past.

Meanwhile, Messi, who recently signed a contract with Inter Miami and won the 2022 World Cup while representing Argentina, teamed up with Hard Rock to create a new sandwich named “Made For You by Leo Messi.” It features thinly sliced provolone cheese, fresh rocket, tomatoes and chicken cutlets with a herb aioli.

The celebrity said of the sandwich in a statement: “I can’t wait for my fans all over the world to get a taste of one of my childhood favourites that still makes me feel at home, wherever I am.”
