Actor Leslie Grace Has Been Cast As The New ‘Batgirl’ in DC Universe

Leslie Grace is showing up at new heights. The actor, known for her breakout role In the Heights, is joining the DC Universe as Barbara Gordon, a.k.a the Batgirl, The Hollywood Reporter was the one to confirm it. Filmmakers of Bad Boys for Life, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, are directing Batgirl, from a script by Christina Hodson, the DC column behind Birds of Prey and the approaching The Flash. Just as acting, Grace has gotten well known in the domain of music, getting three Latin Grammy Award nominations. The DC Universe has projected three Latina actresses in key film roles this year, with Grace, who is Dominican American, joining Sasha Calle (Supergirl in The Flash) and Rachel Zegler (a mysterious role in Shazam! The Batgirl film has been being created for a long time, with Joss Whedon signing a course of action to write and direct in 2017, then leaving a year sometime later. The Batgirl film doesn’t have a release date, yet Warner Bros. has as of late showed it will most likely land on HBO Max in 2023.
