The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported significant progress in counter-terrorism efforts, with approximately 3,000 wanted individuals suspected of terrorist activities arrested by forces under the Central Command since the onset of the Gaza conflict. Notably, these arrests were made outside the Gaza Strip, primarily in the areas of Judea and Samaria.
In the most recent operation, spanning over 16 hours, hundreds of IDF reservists and special forces soldiers conducted a counter-terrorism operation in the village of Hussan within the Etzion Brigade’s jurisdiction, located south of Jerusalem near Bethlehem. During this operation, 13 wanted individuals were apprehended, while dozens of other suspects were interrogated. Additionally, the IDF confiscated incendiary materials linked to terrorist organizations.
Furthermore, in a separate operation south of Jerusalem, IDF fighters successfully located and seized materials used in the preparation of explosives. Additionally, two additional wanted individuals were arrested—one in Kfar Jamal north of Jerusalem and another in Marj Na’je located in northern Israel near the Kineret (Sea of Galilee).
Importantly, no casualties were reported among Israeli forces during these operations, highlighting the effectiveness of the IDF’s counter-terrorism efforts.
