Facebook Moderators Reportedly Complain About COVID Risk In Dublin Office.

London(CNN BUSINESS)- Employees who co-ordinate  content for Facebook in Dublin have complained about destitute working conditions, where they fear about COVID-19.

The mutilators, employed by professional services firm Covalen, stated in an online forum that they arnt allowed to work from home nor are precautionary measures being taken at the work place, according to The Sunday Times.

The employers also questioned the authorities onto why the premises wasn?t shut down even after  two of their colleagues tested positive for COVID-19.Instead they were asked to shift their floor, while their space working space was being sanitized.

In a statement to CNN Business, Facebook declared that post the pandemic it has numerous employees working from home.

?But considering some of the most sensitive content can?t be reviews from home, we?ve begun allowing reviewers back into some of our sites as government guidance have permitted,? a spokesperson said, stating the organization prioritizes health and safety of employees.

What Covalen told CNN?

Covalen told CNN Business about its ?substantial health and safety procedures in the office?, which comprises of stringent sanitization of the spaces, regular cleaning of surfaces touched often and shift adjustments for through disinfection.

If an employee reports Covid-19 symptoms or has been in close contact with an employee who has tested positive ?they are informed, isolate d onsite, provided with private transport home and advised to contact their GP,? the company said in a statement.? We are also providing transfers to and from the office so the employees do not need to take public transport.?

The Company also followed a policy of halting work for 72 hours in case if an employee tested positive or presented symptoms back in March.? When we reopened ( after lockdown was lifted) with significantly reduced capacity, we updated our procedures to reflect that.?

The workers were still asking the authority as to why the premises were not shut down even after two of the employer ‘s colleagues had positive testings for COVID-19.

Facebooks content mitigators scrutinize the website for erroneous information and graphics such as violence, animal abuse and child pornography.

Last year, investigation by The Verge reported the workers were poorly paid, work at grimy workstations and provide no emotional support for the kind of they do.
