The lead actors of Never Have I Ever made an appearance in a new teaser for the upcoming fourth and final season of the show. In addition to Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Jaren Lewis, and Darren Barnet returning to play Devi, Ben, and Paxton, respectively, the ensemble has expanded as a “new heartthrob” begins Devi’s senior year.

Ramakrishnan can be seen taking a FaceTime call from Ethan, aka Michael Cimino, who introduces himself as “the new heartthrob of Sherman Oaks High,” in the video that was unveiled at Netflix’s TUDUM event. The cast then engages in some amusing banter in the next scene when Barnet tells Cimino, “Hey, man! We got ‘handsome nerd’ and ‘cool jock’ covered.” Michael then said, “Come on, Darren. Don’t worry about it. I’m more of a smouldering bad boy.”

Ramakrishnan may be heard hinting that Devi, one of her characters, will have her job cut out for her when Senior Year picks up steam with the arrival of a new boy to school. Paxton, who fans last saw graduate from high school and get ready to go college in Arizona, is also hinted at in the short. After numerous fans speculated that Paxton might not appear in the final season, Barnet can be seen saying, “Paxton’s back baby.”

The popular teen drama will air its final season in 2023, however a date for the fourth season’s release has not yet been determined. In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, the show’s creator, Mindy Kaling, remarked on how four seasons looked ideal for a high school drama and said, “Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense.”
