The signing of former NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo to a contract extension was the Miami Heat’s best move this summer.
Over the past few years, injuries have been a problem for Oladipo.
However, he had great promise during his comeback campaign the previous year.
Oladipo’s finest performance came against the Orlando Magic in a regular-season game in April, when he had a 40/10/7 game on 59.1% shooting.
The former Pacers guard had plenty of opportunity in the playoffs since the Heat were having injury issues.
Oladipo had a healthy summer and will be available for Miami on opening night.

The Heat might have four players of the All-Star caliber on their roster if Oladipo performs well in his first full season in four years; the other candidates are Butler, Herro, and Bam Adebayo.
Oladipo’s re-signing may therefore benefit the Miami Heat even if they don’t make any other substantial moves.
