Most recent returns to WWE have been through episodes of Raw or SmackDown, therefore it seems likely that WWE wants Bray Wyatt to do so through the Royal Rumble.
Bray Wyatt is a major superstar, so it would not be appropriate to bring him back via a Raw or SmackDown show.
If discovered, Bray Wyatt would make a welcome comeback at Royal Rumble.
Through the Royal Rumble, many significant comebacks were seen in WWE history.
Through this event, the business may have also intended for Bray Wyatt to make a significant comeback.
Perhaps, for this reason, Bray Wyatt has not yet made a comeback to WWE.
WWE is presumably now developing a new persona for Bray Wyatt. After making his WWE debut as The Fiend, Wyatt gained notoriety and became one of the company’s top stars.

Because of this, WWE might not want Bray Wyatt to reprise his role as The Find.
