Recent NBA reports said that Steph Curry wanted Kevin Durant to rejoin the Golden State Warriors for the upcoming season. The Warriors superstar stated that he was looking forward to a reunion given that the organization had been strongly associated with the Brooklyn Nets in trade discussions for the forward.

The controversy surrounding Durant’s trade was one of the key offseason plotlines.

Teams from all around the NBA started negotiating for the superstar after his trade request at the beginning of free agency shocked the league.

During this time, the Golden State Warriors were seen as one of the favorites to sign the Nets forward.
The Warriors reportedly planned to blow things up despite having just finished a great title run. In this regard, during an interview with Matt Sullivan of Rolling Stone, Steph Curry expressed his excitement about perhaps rejoining Kevin Durant.

When questioned about maybe reuniting with Durant, he answered:

I had so much pleasure playing with KD those three years, so if you said, “Oh KD’s coming back, and we’re going to play with him,” I’d be like, “Hell yeah!”

Curry elaborated on this by saying that he has never been hesitant about the prospect of seeing Durant again.

The Warriors might once again become practically untouchable if the Nets forward start.

Curry did, however, express faith in the present group’s ability when he said:

If anyone on our team objected, I would respond, If somebody is saying that you wouldn’t consider that talk, you don’t understand how things operate, but you also realize, like, if we run this thing back, I’ve got great faith in my team that we can win it again, as constructed.

Although there was a lot of interest in Durant going back to Golden State, the Nets were able to keep their star player for the following year.
The Brooklyn Nets will also be title contenders with Kevin Durant’s comeback. The two superstars will compete against one another as competitors to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors next season.
