DJ Khaled’s 13th studio album, God Did, was released at midnight by We the Best/Epic Records. It has numerous A-list collaborations, including those with Drake, Kanye West, Future, R&B singers SZA and John Legend, Jamaican dancehall performers Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, and Sizzla, as well as the late Juice WRLD.

The new album, which spans 18 songs, also includes “Staying Alive,” a remix of the Bee Gees’ iconic disco song by Drake and Lil Baby. Staying Alive, the lead song from God Did, debuted at No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs and Streaming Songs charts of Billboard and reached its peak of No. 21 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, marking his greatest showing on that chart in the previous two years.

The new album is a follow-up to Khaled Khaled from 2021, after Grateful (in 2017) and Major Key (2016). His sixth No. 1 album on the Rap Albums chart was Khaled Khaled. Khaled said in an interview with Billboard, “To get to a 13th album is, like, beyond incredible for me.” He continued, “The greats that I look up to, when I see how many albums they put out, I’m on the right track. And I know how hard it is to be in this game some people can’t make it past their first single or their first album.”

His fifth studio album, We the Best Forever (2011), which also contributed to Khaled’s rise to international notoriety as it contained the song “I’m on One,” which became his first top ten hit. His eighth studio album, I Changed a Lot (2015), reached at number 12, while his sixth and seventh albums, Kiss the Ring (2012) and Suffering from Success (2013), charted in the top ten on the Billboard 200. Due to his social media engagement in 2015 and 2016, Khaled became a media celebrity that was known all over the world.
