The former NBA champion says Giannis Antetokounmpo made a cunning move by starting Chicago Bulls rumors: “I don’t appreciate some of those cheesy dad jokes he does.

Recently, Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his desire to perhaps join the Chicago Bulls in the future. The two-time MVP did note that his contract with the Milwaukee Bucks is now unbreakable. NBA commentators have, however, publicly voiced their opinions over the Greek Freak’s remarks.
Former league player Kendrick Perkins claimed that Giannis Antetokounmpo is a smart person. The NBA champion from 2008 remarked that Giannis’ remarks were an effort on his part to hold the team responsible.

Perk discussed the subject on NBA Today and said:

I want to acknowledge Giannis’ intelligence, even though I don’t enjoy some of the corny jokes he tells. But aside from that, Giannis is really, incredibly bright in how he approaches problems.
One of the sport’s most modest athletes is Giannis Antetokounmpo. He enjoys working with the media, and his hilarious style of communication with them has won him many fans. Even though Kendrick Perkins does not seem to be a huge fan of his jokes, he does value the Greek Freak’s intelligence.

Perkins went on to explain his position:

“Giannis makes a difference off the court by telling the Milwaukee Bucks, “Hey, Imma hold your feet to the fire every single year to make sure they put the components around me so that I can compete for a championship.” I genuinely think Giannis will retire wearing a Bucks uniform, but I commend him for playing chess rather than checkers.”
One of the NBA’s best teams is the Milwaukee Bucks. They will undoubtedly have a successful season next year with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s help from players like Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton.
To add to their stability, the team also renewed contracts with several of their other key players, like Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton.
Giannis is expected to stay with the Bucks for at least another four years, thus it seems certain that they will contend for titles in the future. Antetokounmpo hasn’t completely ruled out moving away from Milwaukee as his potential next location, either.
