Following Darwin Nunez’s red card in the Chelsea-Spurs game, NBA star Josh Hart takes a shot at the officials by saying, “He should have just grabbed his hair; he wouldn’t have gotten anything.”

Following a week filled with incidents, including the Chelsea-Tottenham Hotspur game and Darwin Nunez receiving a red card for Liverpool, NBA player Josh Hart has taken a shot at Premier League referees.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea and Spurs engaged in a contentious match that ended 2-2. Both on and off the field, many occurrences occurred during the game. Just before Tottenham’s equalizer in stoppage time, Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella had his hair yanked by Tottenham’s Cristian Romero. The Argentine defender was not given a penalty for the same, though, by the referee.

Darwin Nunez, a forward for Liverpool, was given a straight red card, however, for headbutting Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen. Hart did not like the way the Premier League was officiated. The star of the Portland Trail Blazers tweeted: “He should have simply pulled his hair out since in the Premier League, you can’t head butt. He would have received nothing.”

Romero won’t be subject to any retroactive punishment for his acts, according to sources.

Nunez, meanwhile, is anticipated to be suspended for three games for his behavior against Palace. The Uruguayan forward will thus be absent from Monday’s match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Old Trafford (August 22).
At Stamford Bridge, though, the off-the-field event garnered more attention.

Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte, the managers of Chelsea and Spurs, sparred a few times on the sidelines. After the game, that caused both managers to lose their cool.
Both Tuchel and Conte have been accused by the FA of violating FA Rule E3 as a result of their conflict (via Football London).

Leeds United will play Chelsea in the Premier League.
Sunday’s Premier League matchup between the Blues and Leeds United will take place at Elland Road (August 21). Harry Kane’s equalizer in the 96th minute cost Thomas Tuchel’s team the opportunity to claim all three points.

Last Saturday, Jorginho’s penalty kick gave the Blues a 1-0 victory over Everton in their league debut.

Leeds, however, has amassed four points in its first two league contests. In their first game of the year, Jesse Marsch’s team defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 before tying 2-2 at Southampton.
