According to revelations made by former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz, he cautioned the organization against allowing Roman Reigns to utter the notorious “suffering succulent” remark.

Rance made a humiliating remark on a SmackDown program on January 9, 2015, when he got into a verbal altercation with Seth Rollins.
Roman described the Money in the Bank winner at the time as “a tiny little saxup sellout full of succulents of victims!” in what is largely regarded as the worst advertisement of all time. Roman Reigns’ promo, however, was not well received by the WWE Universe as it unintentionally damaged his promotion inside the organization.

Brian Gewirtz asked writers to cut this unsolicited passage from the script even though he stopped working for WWE as a full-time employee in 2012. Brian Gewirtz continued to work for WWE as a creative consultant.

He disclosed the following on the podcast

Gewirtz said, “I was consulting with WWE at the time. I saw ‘victim succotash’ in the script and I was just like sending flare guns, no! Don’t tell him, “There’s no good way you can say that.”

Roman Reigns has performed admirably on the microphone.
Roman Reigns has received criticism for his promos rather frequently, especially when he first entered the WWE. Being the greatest player ever was Reigns’ destiny. whose recruitment Vince McMahon sought for Babyface.
The Tribal Chief, however, allowed Roman Reigns to keep winning championships.

Before Roman was granted creative freedom on TV, his gimmick was not fully embraced by the audience. Rance has improved his microphone techniques significantly after taking on the persona of the Tribal Chief in 2020. Rance is now WWE’s top superstar as a result of this.

Roman Reigns developed as a speaker

Roman Reigns’ talent to tell gripping tales in the ring was unquestionable, but his promo work has frequently drawn criticism, particularly in the early years of his career in the WWE.
Vince McMahon’s determination on pushing Reigns as a babyface despite early fan opposition was always a sign that he would become the top man.
Since adopting his Tribal Chief persona in 2020, Roman Reigns has done some of his best character work while also refining his microphone skills. While The Tribal Chief continued to amass championship reigns, he was never entirely accepted by the audience until he was given the freedom to be himself on TV. Reigns have become one of the most quotable wrestlers these days, and one of his recent lines on Austin Theory has already spawned a new WWE t-shirt.
