Dakota Johnson, who starred in Fifty Shades of Grey, recently turned to social media to announce her participation in Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man spin-off flick Madame Web. While fans anxiously await Dakota’s appearance in the film, she shared her delight for the project and stated how great it was for her to be a part of the Marvel universe. Dakota Johnson recalls on her first steps into the Marvel universe as Madame Web.

Dakota Johnson talked about her new adventure with Marvel through the film Madame Web in a recent interview with ET, and said there was a lot of room for the filmmakers to make her character appear really unique. “I can tell you pretty much nothing that isn’t already on the internet,” Johnson remarked. It’s quite exciting to be a part of the Marvel universe, especially with a lesser-known character. There’s a lot of room for us to make her incredibly cool, and I’m really looking forward to that.”

She also mentioned that it had always been her desire to undertake some sort of major action like a female Indiana Jones. “It’s long been an ambition of mine to direct a big-budget action film. ‘Wow, a real human being can do that!’ There’s something about those movies that makes you think, ‘Wow, a genuine human being can do that!’ “she said.

According to Deadline, the actor Sydney Sweeney has been added to the cast of the upcoming Marvel flick Madame Web, which stars Dakota Johnson. The screenplay will be written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, with SJ Clarkson directing. Madame Web is a well-known fictional character who first appeared in the Marvel comics and later appeared in the Spiderman comic book series. Multiple superheroes have dubbed her Spider-Woman for her ability to anticipate the future of Spider-themed superheroes.

Dakota Johnson’s most recent film was ‘Am I OK?’ Sonoya Mizuno, Jermaine Fowler, Kiersey Clemons, Molly Gordon, and Sean Hayes feature with Johnson in the film directed by Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne and written by Lauren Pomerantz. On January 24, 2022, it made its international premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Apart from Madame Web, she will be seen in Carrie Cracknell’s forthcoming American drama film Persuasion, which will be released on Netflix on July 15, 2022.
