The drama series Swagger has been renewed for a second season on Apple TV, which means it will be returning to the streaming platform. It’s time to get back to the court. One of the production organisations behind the series, Thirty-Five Ventures, which was co-founded by NBA star Kevin Durant, made the announcement on its official Instagram account.

The show, which draws its inspiration from Durant’s life, examines the difficulties that young basketball players who want to play professionally must overcome. The narrative centres on Jace Carson (Isaiah Hill), a standout player and one of the best young basketball players in the nation. Jace enrols in a training programme run by Ike (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), a former star player turned kids basketball coach, to advance his aspirations of playing in the NBA.

As Carson contends with problems both on and off the court, including coming face to face with a society that makes assumptions about people based solely on the colour of their skin, the two characters form a deep friendship that extends beyond the game of basketball. This realm of hopes and ideals colliding with reality will be further explored in the second season.

Swagger creator and showrunner Reggie Rock Bythewood also serves as executive producer alongside Durant, Brian Grazer, and Rich Kleiman, as well as writing and directing numerous episodes of the programme. Francie Calfo, Samantha Corbin-Miller, and Samie Kim Falvey are also executive producers. The previously stated Thirty-Five Ventures, Imagine Television Studios, CBS Studios, and Undisputed Cinema are responsible for producing the show for Apple. The television show also features Shinelle Azoroh, Caleel Harris, Solomon Irima, Ozie Nzeribe, Jason Rivera, and Tristan Mack in addition to the aforementioned cast members.
