Netflix is bringing back the 2005-2018 cooking competition show Iron Chef America with a new season called Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend. The show will premiere on Netflix on June 15 at 3 a.m. ET in quest of the next ‘Iron Legend.’ The series will consist of eight 45-minute episodes that will be released all at once.
Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend will pit challenger chefs against one another. In the ultimate finale, the champion will face Iron Chefs, the culinary world’s greatest titans. The competition winner will be dubbed a “Iron Legend.”
Mark Dacascos will reprise his role as The Chairman in the Netflix reimagining of the iconic ‘Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend’ series.
“I normally arrive at set, Kitchen Stadium, an hour and a half before my call time to ground myself because I know that once we get rolling, the energy level is off the charts. The iron cooks arrive, their enthusiasm and passions running high. When the challenger chefs arrive, the same thing happens. Then there’s the team “sharing the Filipino-American actor.
“We have no idea what will happen during the battle’s 60 minutes. We can’t practise that. So, for 60 minutes, which is the show’s apex, we must be fully present and conscious of everything.”
Dacascos stated he enjoys playing The Chairman as much as he enjoys showing off his martial arts skills, as he did in ‘John Wick 3.’
“I consider myself really fortunate. I appreciate the variety. I enjoy coming to Kitchen Stadium to play The Chairman and be surrounded by tremendous culinary skill, and then going to John Wick to be surrounded by acting and martial brilliance. I consider myself quite fortunate “explained Dacascos
“I get worried every time I go to work because I’m fortunate to get to work with individuals, artists at the top of their game, and I feel like every day, it’s like a masterclass in wherever I’m at, whether it’s at Kitchen Stadium or on the set of John Wick 3,” he said.
The actor also said that he will appear in the third season of HBO Max’s action series ‘Warrior.’
Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend will be hosted by food programme host Alton Brown and Top Chef Season 10 winner Kristen Kish, alongside Mark Dacascos as ‘The Chairman.’
