Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and actor who was born on February 1, 1994. In 2010. He debuted on the British music competition series The X Factor as a single competitor. He was welcomed back after being eliminated to join the boy band One Direction, who went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time until taking an extended break in 2016.

In 2017, Columbia Records released Styles’ self-titled debut solo album. It was one of the top 10 best-selling albums of the year in the United Kingdom and the United States, and its lead single, “Sign of the Times” topped the UK Singles Chart. Fine Line (2019), Styles’ second album, arrived at number one. It was the most current album to be included in Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” in 2020, and it topped the US Billboard 200 with the most ever first-week sales by an English male artist.

“I’d look at myself with no tattoos and be like, ‘look at this boring *ss body.’”

Harry Styles, how many tattoos does he have? We’re not sure what the precise figure is, but we do know how long it takes a makeup artist to cover them all up.

As part of the promotion for his next album, Harry’s House, Harry Styles paid a visit to Howard Stern’s show on May 17 and spoke with the radio host on a variety of issues. Harry discussed his recent experiences as a film actor — a tattooed actor, no less — in addition to speaking out against current attacks on civil rights in the United States.

When discussing his time on set for the upcoming film My Policeman, Harry revealed how long it takes him to get into character, including how long it takes him to cover up his numerous tattoos for the part. “It took roughly two hours,” he estimated. “I’d come in early and essentially just sit there with a gas mask while they sprayed stuff,” says the narrator. Stuff, which more likely refers to a really heavy coverage foundation.

“Luckily there’s none on [his] back so that [feels] like a small moment of consolation,” Harry quipped, referring to the numerous layers of the procedure. When retelling the story, the actor also said that seeing himself for the first time in years without tattoos felt strange. “Without tattoos, I’d look at myself and think, ‘Look at this boring *ss physique,'” he joked. (Hey, after over a decade of flaunting his body art, it would be strange for fans to see him in the film.)

Tattoo lovers shouldn’t worry though, because Harry isn’t letting his acting career stop him from getting new ink. “I’ll probably get some more,” Harry confessed to Howard. “I go through long stretches of not getting any and then I’ll get a couple at a time. I haven’t thought about getting any recently.”

Thankfully, Howard confirmed something that some of Harry’s fans might be concerned about: face tattoos? Not part of his vision. “I don’t think I would go for the face,” the star admitted. Nothing on that precious face, please, Harry!
