On August 16, 2022, The Uncanny X-Men: The Complete Series will be released. All 105 trade cards will be included in the collection, including front and back. Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Magneto, and Deadpool are among the prominent X-Men characters featured in the film.

Battle scenes, team photos, and a nine-card Danger Room puzzle card are all included in the series. Bios, statistics, and trivia about the characters are included on the back of the cards, authored by Marvel Comics writers and editors. Jim Lee, a comic book artist, created the pictures for the card. With issue #248 of The Uncanny X-Men in 1989, Lee began drawing the art for the flagship X-Men comic. The bestselling single-issue comic book of the modern era was X-Men #1, which Lee collaborated on with prominent X-Men writer Chris Claremont. For the first 11 issues, Lee would continue to draw the series’ art. Lee made history as the first artist to create all of the original artwork for a Marvel card set when working on the trading card series.

An introduction by Bob Budiansky, the editor of the card set, will be included in the collection. Budiansky handled eleven Marvel trading card collections in the 1990s. He worked as an artist for Ghost Rider throughout his time at Marvel. He and Bret Blevins co-created the character Sleepwalker as writers.

Budiansky worked as an editor for the Fantastic Four, Daredevil and Spider-Man , among other titles. Budiansky will conduct interviews with the Marvel team who worked on the trading card series for the collection. Edward Piskor, who previously wrote and illustrated the 2017-2018 narrative X-Men: Grand Design, will provide a foreword for the book.
