Joseph Morgan, who portrayed Klaus Mikaelson in both The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff, The Originals, has confirmed that he will appear in the series finale of Legacies after posting a series of confusing messages on social media. Morgan has been tweeting cryptic comments on his social media platforms over the past several weeks, hinting at a possible return to The Vampire Diaries universe.
Morgan had previously told followers to cease looking for signs of his comeback, but it appears that some secrets are too good to be kept forever. Morgan kicked off his big reveal with the following Instagram message, “If you had the chance to say one last goodbye to the child you loved more than anything, would you take it?”
He then went on Instagram Live to reveal that his appearance in the finale will be for only a “fleeting moment.” He said, “I don’t know if I’ve got permission to do this. I don’t know if I need it, to be honest with you. Regardless, we’re here now, so I’m going to tell you a couple of things: You are going to see Klaus again in the final-ever episode of Legacies. Just for a fleeting moment. That’s it, you heard it here first.”
Legacies is a Vampire Diaries spinoff series that follows a school for youngsters with supernatural talents. Hope Mikaelson, Klaus Mikaelson’s daughter, attends this school and is the show’s lead actress. Morgan will make his first appearance on the show with this visit. It’ll also be the first time the father and daughter have seen each other since The Originals ended. Morgan continues by elucidating the relevance of this proverb, “This was never ever about a ‘ship for me or for Klaus. This is about family. Family is power.
