Mulligan already starred in the critically acclaimed Mudbound, so Maestro will be her second Netflix Original. Mulligan is also noted for her roles in Never Let Me Go and The Great Gatsby as Kathy and Daisy Buchanan, respectively.
Jeremy Strong – John Gruen
John Jonas Gruen, the renowned American art critic, author, and musician, will be played by Jeremy Strong. The Private World of Leonard Bernstein is one of Gruen’s most well-known works. Strong played Jerry Rubin in Aaron Sorkin’s Netlfix Original historical drama The Trial of the Chicago 7, and he also stars as Kendall Roy in the outstanding HBO drama series Succession.
Maya Hawke – Jamie Bernstein
It’s taken a long time to discover more about Maestro’s cast, but we now know that Maya Hawke, who plays Jamie Bernstein, the daughter of Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre, has been cast.
What is the current status of Maestro’s production?
Filming was supposed to start in April 2021, however it was postponed for unclear reasons. Maestro’s status on IMDb has once again changed from pre-production to filming as of October 12th, 2021. That was pushed out to April, and now we can confirm that Maestro will shoot in May 2022, according to fresh production sheets.
The first round of filming began on May 21st in Tanglewood, Massachusetts, and will conclude on July 12th, 2022. After filming in Massachusetts is completed, production will relocate to New York for an unspecified amount of time before continuing filming in Italy in September 2022. When will Netflix be available?
