Jude law to star in “SKELETON CREW” Star Wars series

Skeleton Crew has been described as a cosmic take on Amblin’s classic coming-of-age adventure films from the 1980s. Jude Law is going to star in Disney Plus’ “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series, which is being created by Jon Watts, the director of the “Spider-Man” trilogy.Christopher Ford, who penned of Watts’ “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, is writing the show.The identity of Law’s character in the show is yet unknown. Along with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, Watts and Ford will executive produce the project.

Although not much has been revealed about the plot  “The show takes place during the post-‘Return of the Jedi’ reconstruction that follows the fall of the Empire, the same as ‘The Mandalorian’, but its plot remains a secret.  Vanity Fair said. A casting call for four children aged 11 to 12 years old was issued.Watt’s fictitious working title of “Grammar Rodeo” was based on a 1996 episode of “The Simpsons” in which Bart and his friends ripped-off a rental car and went on a spring break joyride instead of a school event, according to tidbits about this unauthorised project. There aren’t many narrative elements yet, except than the fact that it’s expected to have a Spielbergian tone with a nostalgic ’80s flavour.

Other than the new title, Lucasfilm’s panel said that the tale will take place in the New Republic era, similar to “Ahsoka” and “The Mandalorian,” and will revolve around numerous youngsters who have become lost and adrift in the “Star Wars” galaxy and are seeking to find their way home.Watts noted during the California event that “It stars four kids, but it is not a kid’s show,”.

During the “Star Wars” celebration, Disney also revealed the release date and the first trailer for Diego Luna’s “Rogue One” prequel series “Andor.” .Another announcement was that both ‘Ahsoka’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 will debut in 2023, with the new season of ‘The Mandalorian’ dropping in February. A teaser for the new season was shown in the room but has not been released online.

Jude law is the talented actor who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in Anthony Minghella’s The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), for which he won a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
