Meghan Markle paid her condolences to those who died in the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas, this week by visiting a memorial site.Former actress and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle paid her condolences at a memorial site in Texas to those who died in the city’s elementary school tragedy. On Thursday, she was seen wearing a white tee and denims as she placed white flowers at a memorial outside the Uvalde County Courthouse. This week, an 18-year-old gunman killed 19 kids and two instructors at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

Meghan, Prince Harry, and their two children reside in California. According to her spokeswoman, she travelled to Texas in her personal role as a mother to express her condolences and support in person to a  “community experiencing unimaginable grief,”Meghan knelt on her knees and bowed her head before the crucifix in memory of 10-year-old victim Uziyah Garcia. She left the flowers at the memorial and stood with her arms crossed, gazing at the memorials.She also walked around the memorial, looking at the white crosses with the names of those killed on Tuesday.

Officers shot and killed the shooter, identified as Salvador Ramos, a young local. He shot his 66-year-old grandma in the face at their Uvalde home before fleeing in her truck while she called for help. He detailed his deadly preparations in internet chats shortly before the school attack. The motivation for the shootings is unknown, according to investigators.

According to officials, the gunman crashed his truck outside the school, exited with a rifle, and approached a back entrance. He was “engaged” by an officer assigned to the school, but he went into the building and down a hallway to a fourth-grade classroom. He started fire with an AR-15-style rifle and many magazines after closing the classroom door. According to authorities, a team of local officers and Border Patrol agents eventually pushed the door open and shot him to death when he fired at them.

While Markle offered in-person solidarity for the parents of the children killed in the tragic shooting, several other celebrities expressed their sympathies on social media. Matthew McConaughey, an actor, also spoke out against the school tragedy in his hometown, saying, “We cannot exhale once again, make excuses, and accept these tragic realities as the status quo. e have to rearrange our values and find a common ground above this devastating American reality that has tragically become our children’s issue.”
