The new trailer for Marvel Studios’ next film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” was released on Wednesday. It opens with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) “Dreaming the same dream”. With Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) as his partner, Strange sets out to save the world. Wong (Benedict Wong) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) also play a significant role in Doctor Strange’s discovery of universes as well. According to reports Xochitl Gomez is set to be introduced as the new Marvel Character America Chavez, an aspiring superhero who can travel through time and space.
Like the previous trailer, the new one focuses on alternate realities through which Doctor Strange as well as others will travel. This trailer explores more of the doctor’s dreams and the dark side he must face in the sequel, rather than the repercussion of the portals he opened in the previous trailer. The trailer starts with Doctor Strange bordered by grey haze and human skulls placed on the pavement as he sees Sanctum Sanctorum disappear into thin air.
An extremely gray clip contrasts with a bright red spotlight where Strange stands, indicating Wanda Maximoff is also in the picture. Both Wanda and Strange have been experiencing the same nightmares, which implies they have a supernatural connection between them. As well as focusing on doctor strange, the story expects to reveal a possible crossover with X-men and other Marvel superheroes. Despite being faced with multiverse threats, Strange, Wanda and Wong say, “the fate of the multiverse depends on us.”.
The film is set to release in theaters on May 6 and the tickets are already on sale. Could this be the last we see of Doctor Strange?
