Clarence House stated that the Duchess of Cornwall is self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19.
Her husband, the Prince of Wales, tested positive for the virus on Thursday, but Camilla, 74, went on three public appearances that day despite testing negative.
Prince Charles had seen the Queen two days before, but a royal source stated on Thursday that she was displaying no signs of illness.
According to a Clarence House official, they will adhere to government requirements.
The duchess has got coronavirus for the first time, while Prince Charles has the virus for the second time.
During a visit to Thames Valley Partnership in Buckinghamshire on Thursday, the duchess characterized herself as “luckily” negative, stating of her testing schedule, “I’ve taken it so many times”
Camilla also paid a visit to the Haven Paddington sexual assault referral service in west London and launched the Nourish Hub community kitchen in Shepherd’s Bush, where she finished a Loobia Polo, an Iranian rice dish, that was being served to refugees.
The meeting between Prince Charles, 73, and his mother occurred during the prince’s visit to Windsor Castle for an investiture – to meet and publicly recognize those who had been honoured in the twice-annual honours list.
Buckingham Palace has not acknowledged if the Queen has been tested, citing medical confidentiality, and has simply stated that she is not experiencing any symptoms.
Coronavirus symptoms should be reported to everyone who has had close contact with them in the preceding 48 hours.
In England, fully vaccinated contacts of positive Covid patients should undergo seven-day lateral flow testing. Unless they test positive, they are not required to self-isolate.
Camilla will be required to isolate for ten days, although she may be able to do so sooner if she tests negative on days five and six.
Her positive test comes only a week after the Queen stated that whenever Prince Charles becomes king, she wants the Duchess of Cornwall to be recognized as Queen Consort.
Prince Charles was last infected with the virus in March 2020, when he had minor symptoms, and he was quadruple vaccinated, according to Clarence House.
