After partnering with the Village for Vets organization, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has gifted 25 houses to homeless veterans in Los Angeles.

According to Fox11, Schwarzenegger paid $250,000 for the structures, which are located in West Los Angeles, and donated them to people who had served in the US military but are now homeless, according to femalefirst.co.uk. The 74-year-old actor expressed his displeasure on Twitter.

“Today, I celebrated Christmas early,” he wrote. The 25 houses for homeless veterans that I donated were erected in Los Angeles. It was wonderful to spend time with our heroes and wish them well in their new homes.

“I’d want to thank @villageforvets for organizing the homes and being such a great partner, as well as @secvetaffairs, @amvetshq, and everyone else who helped us make this happen. We demonstrated that we can overcome any challenge when we all work together.”

Bruce Henry Cooper, a homeless veteran, told Fox11 that the effort was a “life-saver” for him and other homeless veterans this Christmas.

“He has not forgotten us,” he added of the “Kindergarten Cop” star.

Since 2016, the Village for Vets initiative has been providing tiny dwellings to retired service veterans who have resorted to living on the streets, complete with running water, heating, electricity, and air conditioning.

In an interview with Fox11, Schwarzenegger said that the delight he felt after his charity act was “the greatest Christmas gift” he could have gotten.

He stated, ” “It makes me happy to know that I can repay this country for everything it has given me. Only because of America was I able to achieve such amazing achievement. Whatever I’ve accomplished has been thanks to America, so it’s always a pleasure for me to give back.”
