Entertainer, director, and maker, Drew Barrymore, has said that she respects Charlie’s Angels co-star, Lucy Liu, over her handling of the now infamous Bill Murray debate. The incident, which happened on the arrangement of the 2000 film, supposedly involved an extended shouting match in which Murray was the assailant. Despite Murray’s insistences in 2003 that he and Liu found since a long time ago made harmony, the talk of animosity between the two has persisted for decades.
In the new episode of Barrymore’s The Drew Barrymore Show [h/t ET Canada], the Charlie’s Angels star tended to the question among Liu and Murray by pledging her continued regard for Liu. Barrymore refered to Liu’s willingness to stand up for herself because of Murray’s outrage as the best thing to have emerged from a particularly “unfortunate situation.” Check out what else Barrymore needed to say, beneath:
“What truly happened was Bill was simply in a — you know, entertainers can be somewhat dull sometimes — and he just came in an awful state of mind, and what you need to know is the amount Lucy stood up for herself and that was the great thing that emerged from an unfortunate situation. She in a real sense said, ‘I don’t acknowledge that kind of conduct from you.’ And we as a whole upheld her and backed her up and we pushed ahead. I regarded her then, I regard her now. I’m pleased with us collectively and an organization that we didn’t tiptoe on the eggshells. We dealt with it at that moment, we were solid and we pushed ahead and we didn’t acknowledge anything less moving forward.”
Today, Liu is considered to be a prepared professional as far as her acting. Be that as it may, at the time the Charlie’s Angels incident among her and Murray took place, she was particularly getting started in film. To be the target of outrage from an acclaimed professional would certainly be difficult to take, and Liu’s willingness to stand up for herself ought to be regarded.
