With Netflix’s upcoming series Sex Life, comes three stars to watch out for — Ritu Arya, Connor Sweeny, and Shannon Tarbet. In this romance-filled tale, the characters will set out on a journey of personal discovery and (eventually) find love. Here’s what we know about each of the three stars and their characters in Sex Life so far.
Ritu Arya will be playing the main character in Sex Life, Nina Lakhani. Nina is a strong-willed, Columbia University graduate, who wants to pursue a career in law. However, her personal life is far from sorted due to her having to come to terms with her sexuality, break-up with an ex-boyfriend and, at times, she finds herself struggling to gain and keep a connection with women.
Connor Sweeny plays Martin in Sex Life, a young, vibrant gay man with a flamboyant personality, who eventually takes Nina under his wings. Despite his initial friendship with Nina, Martin is also no stranger to struggles as he is trying so desperately hard to fit in with his very strict faith-based parents.
Finally, Shannon Tarbet plays Amelia in this series, Nina’s soon-to-be best friend. Amelia is a passionate free-spirited character who has just moved back to New York City after plenty of traveling. She also harbors secrets of her own, and slowly those secrets start to unravel as time goes on.
With these three characters at the helm, Sex Life promises to be an inspiring story of self-discovery and friendship. The series is set to hit Netflix on April 2nd and is sure to be an emotional rollercoaster full of laughs, romance, and heart-wrenching realizations.
