Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for the impending sci-fi action film “JUNG_E” on December 21, 2022. The movie’s release date is set for January 20, 2023, the following year. In Yeon Sang Ho’s upcoming science fiction film, which will be available on Netflix, Kang Soo Yeon, Kim Hyun Joo, and Ryu Kyung Soo are the major characters.

The movie, which is set in the year 2220, depicts a world where climate change has rendered it uninhabitable. In the middle of the destruction, a conflict breaks out inside the bunker built for human survival. A researcher at an AI facility leads the effort to end a civil war by replicating the brain of a brave soldier who is her mother. The cloning initiative might hold the key to winning the war. The experiment’s success is due to scientists Seo Hyun (Kang Soo-yeon) and Sang-hun (Ryu Kyung-soo). The former is the lab’s director, and the latter is the head of the team that created the brain cloning and AI technologies.

The 22nd century high-tech society is first shown to us in the new JUNG_E trailer before it zooms in on close-ups of the brain cloning operation that creates what the video refers to as a “AI fighting fighter.” The teaser ends just before the robot’s eyes open after the artificial brain has been implanted. On January 20, Netflix will release JUNG E.

Yeon Sang-ho, known for his work on the 2016 box office smash Train To Busan and the 2021 Netflix series Hellbound, wrote and directed JUNG_E. The upcoming film will be Yeon’s first written and directed movie since the action horror heist thriller Peninsula from 2020, which starred Kang Dong-won, Lee Jung-hyun, and others.
