Scientists have discovered hunting skills of rare elusive giant squid under the far off sea in the gulf of Mexico. These creatures are hard to film as they live enormous number of feet under the sea. Researchers used an unobtrusive camera platform to pull in the elusive creature using a fake bioluminescent jellyfish.
Giant squid got curious
The ocean life scientist have strangely, got video of Architeuthis dux hunting prey under the distant sea in the gulf of Mexico. The chronicle was trapped in 2019, yet researchers have now conveyed assessment of the creature’s direct, reported the Daily Mail. Experts as of late acknowledged that the squid waited preceding hunting its prey, at this point the new video nullifies the view as the creature is following the E-Jelly before attacking it.
The scientists used special equipment that had characteristic camera which got the elusive sea creature hunting its prey. The scientists used fake jellyfish called E-Jelly to attract the squid. The fake jellyfish mimiced the bioluminescence released by jellyfish in a difficult situation. Giant squids’ eyes focus on more restricted wavelength blue light so the researchers used red light, which the squid can’t see. Its world has stirred legends of the kraken and other sea monsters for a significant long time, ‘yet our understanding into the gigantic far off sea cephalopods that persuaded this dream stays limited,’ researchers wrote in another report disseminated in the journal Deep Sea Research Part I: Oceanographic Research Papers.
The researchers with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) amassed a ‘trap to get the giant squid. The giant squid are known as Architeuthis dux and it can create more than 40 feet long. TThe giant squid’s dealing with arms can get its prey up to 33 feet away. Its eyes are the greatest in the arrangement, everything being equal, and can absorb more light than its more unobtrusive accomplices allowing the rare giant squid to get bioluminescent prey. These creatures are routinely terrified away by the noise and lights of cameras.
