Actress Nicki Aycox from Supernatural passed away on November 16 at the age of 47. The following day, Susan Raab Ceklosky, her sister-in-law, posted a Facebook confirmation of the information. “My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side,” Susan wrote.
Susan added, “Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter and everyone who knew her loved her.” Beautiful pictures of Nicki and her loved ones were featured in her tribute. Although Nicki’s official cause of death hasn’t been disclosed, it’s likely that she died of leukaemia because she made her condition public in March 2021. When she first learned she had cancer, Nicki tweeted a picture of herself in the hospital and vowed that she was “fighting her way through treatment.”
Nicki wrote, “I can’t believe my last 3 months. But, it makes sense now. I became very ill thinking I had covid in Jan and Feb. well things came to a head. I ended up in a hospital diagnosed with Lukemeia. I want everyone to know I’m doing incredibly well and fighting my way thru chemo. I’ll be back better, stronger, and wiser!” In Supernatural, Nicki played Meg Masters, a demonic foe of the main characters played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
Eric Kripke, the creator of Supernatural, paid respect to Nicki on Twitter after learning of her passing. He wrote, “Gutted to hear the great Nicki Aycox, our first #MegMasters, passed away. Too young. She was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom. I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary.”
