Over 1000 migrants arrived on the Italian Island Lampedusa

On Sunday more then 1000 migrants had arrived on the Italian Island, Lampedusa which created a huge tension.

The sudden arrivals of migrants had created a spark for the urgent actions, amid fresh tensions between Italian authorities and the rescue boats who operates in the Central Mediterranean.

According to the Italian News Agency, one boat alone was carrying around 400 people, including 24 women and 6 children.

Lampedusa, which is one of the main arrival port for the people who want to reach Europe.

While more boats were found at the coast of nearby Malta, with charity Alarm phone saying they need asistance.

“One rescue operation could put a total of around 231 people out of danger drowning,” it said.

Around 11,000 people had already migrated on the Island since start of the year.
