The official trailer for Yellowjackets season 2 has been released.

The popular Showtime series, which debuted in November 2021, was immediately renewed for a second season, and it received seven Emmy nominations.

The show alternates between two different time periods: the mid-1990s, when a group of teenagers battle to survive in the wilderness after a plane crash, and the present day.

This morning, the official Yellowjackets Twitter account tweeted a live video of a candle burning down and requested fan contributions in the comments in exchange for a reward.

An hour later, the account unveiled the official teaser for the upcoming Yellowjackets season 2.

The trailer offers a first look at several of the new characters that have joined this season in addition to hinting at some of the spooky events of the forthcoming season.

The adult version of Liv Hewson’s Van, portrayed by Lauren Ambrose of Six Feet Under, will also be introduced along with Kessel, who joined the show for season 2.

Winter has descended on the camp the ’90s survivors established, and their adult selves discover that the situation was even more terrifying than they had thought.

In the upcoming season, it appears that things are heating up in both periods.

However, the upcoming Yellowjackets season 3, which has already been renewed, would likely have much more to reveal.
