Absolutely adores making predictions about what Apple will do. Alternatively, what Apple ought to do.
The foolisher among us even go so far as to predict what Apple will do.
Let's be so brave today. (And perhaps stupid.) There has been a fair lot of rumours floating around about a cheap Apple TV dongle.
The appropriately called Apple TV 4K, which should not be confused with the Apple TV app or the Apple TV+ streaming service, is Apple's current TV-centric hardware.
The only issue is that it costs close to $200, which is significantly more than what the majority of people are now spending.
Apple undoubtedly has plenty of money to spare.
It shouldn't, though. Although this isn't a novel concept, we considered it in 2018 and arrived to the same conclusion using different arithmetic.
We still believe Apple TV (the hardware) to be the best streaming device available because the overall experience isn't as amazing as what you get from it.
