Minions: Rise of Gru will be the summer blockbuster.
The second instalment in the Minions franchise and the sixth overall in the Despicable Me franchise hits theatres on July 1st and will be available on Netflix in the United States soon.
This entry, which comes 7 years after the first Minions film, serves as a sort of prequel, telling the “untold story of one twelve-year-dream old’s to become the world’s greatest supervillain.”
Steve Carrell reprises his role as Gru, with Russell Brand, Julie Andrews, Alan Arkin, Michelle Yeoh, RZA, and Jean-Claude Van Damme also appearing.
As part of a legacy agreement between Universal and Netflix, Sing 2 was notably added to Netflix (in the United States) in June 2022.
If we take a look at The Bad Guys, another movie heading to Netflix in this unique way, it just set its Peacock release date and is anticipated to be there later this year.
After the theatrical run, the film spends four months on Peacock, ten months on Netflix, and then another four months on Peacock.
If the film debuts at the same time as The Bad Guys, it will premiere at Peacock on September 9th, 2022.
On November 9th, 2023, depart once more for Peacock after being uploaded on Netflix on January 9th, 2023.
