A new trailer for Netflix’s live-action series adaptation of Resident Evil has been released, teasing more zombie mayhem.

Fans of Capcom’s horror-survival games will recognise some of the monsters in this trailer

Despite supposedly being set after the events of the games, the show is playing fast and loose with Resident Evil lore.

The trailer shows more of the scale of the series, which is based on the long-running video game turned movie franchise

It has also inspired seven feature films and a Netflix animated series, both of which will premiere in July 2021.

Year 2036 – 14 years after a devastating virus triggered a global disaster  for survival in a world overrun by blood-thirsty infected 

The first season of Resident Evil will consist of eight episodes and will premiere on Netflix on July 14, 2022.

Jade  is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City,

The series was picked up by Netflix in August 2020.
