‘DDU-DU’ by BLACKPINK is the first K-Pop music video to surpass 2 billion views on YouTube, making history in the process.  

DU-DU DU A significant commercial success both in South Korea and internationally, DU. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa make up the K-pop girl quintet BLACKPINK, which immediately became well-known for its outstanding stage presence and catchy songs.  

YG Entertainment formed the group, which has gained the hearts of millions of people worldwide in addition to serving as the brand ambassadors for expensive goods like Chanel, Dior, Celine, and Yves Saint Laurent. 

By earning the TIME Entertainer of the Year 2022 award, BLACKPINK made history. 

They delighted K-pop fans by becoming the first girl group to ever win this award. 

They were also referred to in the magazine as the generation’s symbols since they set trends all year long and dominated global music charts.  

The K-pop group also stated in an interview that they take great pleasure in every step of the music-making process, which leads to successful outcomes. 

The group also expressed gratitude to BLINKs for helping them at each stage. 

At the time of release, the music video for singer Psy’s viral 2012 hit “Gangnam Style,” which has received 4.6 billion views to date, is barely ahead of BLACKPINK in terms of popularity. 

Along with “Kill This Love” and “DDU-DU-DDU-DU,” the music video for “How You Like That” is also included in the BVC and has received 1.1 billion views as of this writing.
