The Sandman on Netflix was probably one of the most eagerly awaited releases of 2022.

The series debuted on August 5 and is based on a critically acclaimed and significant run of Neil Gaiman’s comic books.

Despite receiving favourable reviews and a warm reaction upon release, The Sandman’s renewal did not happen right away.

According to a Deadline story, Netflix has since announced that the show has been renewed for a second season.

The Sandman series centres on Morpheus (Tom Sturridge), the embodiment of dreams and king of “The Dreaming,”

Beyond Sturridge’s outstanding performance as Morpheus, the cast of the series which also included Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Kyo Ra/Vanesu Samunyai, Boyd Holbrook made a strong impression.

Jenna Coleman, Gwendoline Christie, David Thewlis, Kirby Howell-Baptist, and Mason Alexander Park were a few other famous cast members.

The show was an instant fan favourite and critical darling due to its rich storylines, complex characters, and affectionate fidelity to its source material.

As a result of the long wait for this news, fans were on pins and needles.

It is consequently widely regarded as one of the best comics-to-TV adaptations ever produced.
