Saoirse Ronan and Sam Rockwell’s investigative team in the upcoming murder thriller See How They Run have released the first official trailer.

The critically praised 2019 drama-comedy Knives Out and Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot mysteries, as well as the Clue-like murder mystery in the See How They Run trailer, are both referenced.

In the first scene, viewers are introduced to two inspectors who are looking into a murder in 1950s London’s West End theatre district: l, played by Ronan.

A desperate Hollywood producer sets out to make a successful play into a movie, but an investigation is prompted by the murder of a cast member involved in the development.

The investigators are drawn into a perplexing whodunit in the sordid underbelly of the glitzy theatre industry, where they must investigate the unsolved murder at their own risk.

The humour in the trailer seems sardonic and irreverent, defined by Ronan’s overzealous ignorance and Rockwell’s stern exasperation.

David Oyelowo, Ruth Wilson, Harris Dickinson, Shirley Henderson, Sian Clifford, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Reece Shearsmith, and Charlie Cooper all make notable contributions to the supporting ensemble.

Sam Rockwell, an Oscar-winning actor, is most known for his roles in the Martin McDonagh films Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Seven Psychopaths as well as Clint Eastwood’s historical drama Richard Jewell.

Additionally, he will appear in the upcoming films Argylle, The Heart, and an untitled Merle Haggard biography

Ronan is familiar with the realm of ludicrous riddles because of her work with the Grand Budapest Hotel.
