The thriller The Mother is among Jennifer Lopez’s future Netflix releases.

We now know, thanks to Tudum, that the film will be released in May 2023, rather than the anticipated 2022.

Everything you need to know about The Mother is right here, including the plot, cast news, production updates, and the Netflix release date.

Niki Caro, who recently directed Disney’s live-action Mulan remake, will direct The Mother, a forthcoming Netflix Original action-thriller.

Jennifer Lopez is producing and acting in three films for Netflix, the others being Atlas and The Cipher.

We just have a very brief and basic overview of The Mother so far: “Years ago, a lethal assassin was forced to flee, forcing her to give up her only daughter.”

Variety reports that Joseph Fiennes, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Omari Hardwick will star alongside Jennifer Lopez in The Mother.

Gael Garcia Bernal is about to have a very busy year. Not only will he appear in The Mother, but the Guadalajara-born actor will also play Zorro in the upcoming version Z.

Omari Hardwick, who just played in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, is well-known to Netflix subscribers.
