The Marvels: MCU’s fourth phase instalment featuring Marvels superheroine

Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) is joined by her late best friend’s grown-up daughter Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who now has her own powers, and Muslim-American teenager Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), who has shape-shifting abilities and idolises her, following the events of Avengers: Endgame and WandaVision.

The movie will be released on February 17th, 2023.

The film’s production was said to be finished on November 24, 2021. It had been set for July 8, 2022, and November 11, 2022 earlier. It will be included in the MCU’s fourth phase.

Brie Larson turned to social media to mark her one-year anniversary of resuming her role as Captain Marvel.

Nia DaCosta (Candyman) will direct the sequel, which will be based on a script by Megan McDonnell.

WandaVision breakthrough actress Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Marvel Cinematic Universe newbie Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, who has her own upcoming Disney+ series in post-production, join Larson in the sequel.

The film’s antagonist will be played by English actress Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw). Jude Law’s character as Yon-Rogg is also said to be returning. Park Seo-Joon, a well-known South Korean actor, has also been cast for an unnamed role.

Captain Marvel was released in 2019 and went on to gross over $1.1 billion worldwide, making it the sixth highest-grossing picture of the year.
