The Good Doctor Wraps Production For Final Season

The final season of The Good Doctor is no longer being filmed. The information was shared by fans who tweeted about meeting Freddie Highmore and other cast members as they wrapped up filming in Vancouver for the seventh season, which debuted in February.

The weeknight drama will conclude after its upcoming seventh season, according to a recent announcement. The touching medical procedural had a fantastic run, as would be expected for any show of its nature.

However, it will depart from the network's schedule in the fall, and a new show will probably take its place. Starting on February 20, viewers can see the final batch of programs that feature the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital staff.

When The Good Doctor debuted in 2017, Freddie Highmore starred as a young surgeon with savant syndrome and autism named Dr. Shaun Murphy.

Viewers saw how Dr. Murphy consistently stepped up to the plate during the show, developing closer relationships with both the hospital's staff and patients while overcoming his own obstacles along the way.

Chuku Modu, Christina Chang, Richard Schiff, Bria Samoné Henderson, Will Yun Lee, Paige Spara, Noah Galvin, and Fiona Gubelmann are also featured in the seventh and now final season.

Although Dr. Murphy and his mentor, Dr. Glassman (Schiff), are still at odds, there is still hope for their friendship thanks to a congratulations gift that was presented to the couple: a blanket bearing the baby's name.
