Stranger Things Star Brett Gelman defends co-star Noah Schnapp's opinions regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict

Recently, Noah Schnapp spoke out about the contentious video in which he was seen handing out stickers bearing statements such as "Hamas is ISIS" and "Zionism is sexy."

The 19-year-old actor tried to clear the situation on TikTok on Tuesday amid cancellation calls. While Schnapp claimed that his opinions were "misconstrued," Brett Gelman, who costarred with him on Stranger Things, disagrees.

The 47-year-old actor and comedian defended Schnapp after his TikTok video.

During an interview with TMZ at the Los Angeles Airport, Gelman expressed his opinion that Schnapp's opinions regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict do not necessitate an apology.

Gelman acknowledged to the publication that he enjoyed the widely shared images and videos of Schnapp handing out the contentious stickers from the previous year.

Gelman remarked, "I will say that I saw nothing wrong with the original thing that he said." "Zionism is the belief that Israel should exist, and that's sexy to me too," the Fleabag star went on.

He also concurred with Schnapp's comparison of Hamas to ISIS, the terrorist group. "I think that if you are not for Israel, you are either consciously or subconsciously engaging in antisemitism," Gelman continued.

"I'm for Israel, but I'm not for Netanyahu, therefore I'm not talking about supporting every aspect of its government. "I support the people of Israel," he continued.
