Singer Shawn Mendez is prepared to make his much anticipated comeback to the spotlight after taking a vacation from social media and focusing more on his mental health.

The singer for Senorita had posted an emotional Instagram message in July of this year to announce his break.

The actor is currently making a comeback to big-screen entertainment while promoting his next movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.

For the first time since announcing his hiatus, Shawn’s voice will be heard by the Mendes Army in the next live-action/animated musical comedy movie.

The singer opened out to Entertainment Tonight on his mental health, how he’s doing, and getting back into action, especially with Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile shortly to be released.

Mendes said, “It feels awesome. It doesn’t feel like such high pressure. I think it’s always a process.”

He added, “I think I needed some time just to ground and spend some time with family and friends and gain some perspective of how beautiful it is what I get to do for a living.”

Mendes recently reassured fans in an Instagram post that he will continue to create new music and that touring is on his future agenda.

The pop sensation has contributed his vocals and a few original songs to Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

Producer Hutch Parker spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his exceptional work on the project.
